The Hebrew calendar moves forward on the first day of Tishrei (the seventh month), also known as the Feast of Trumpets and Rosh Hashanah, which begins on Monday at sundown on September 6, 2021. It continues until sunset on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 (Leviticus 23:23-25). Rosh Hashanah translates from Hebrew to “the head of the year” and marks the start of the Jewish New Year and the High Holy Days that follow, i.e., the 10 Days of Awe of reflection and repentance leading to Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement.
Rosh Hashanah is also a joyous celebration reflecting on what God has done and hoping for a triumphant new year. The feasts are parties. The Feast of Trumpets is one of the holy days that the Israelites were to keep. God revealed to Moses the exact time and how the people should celebrate. During the feast, the people would bring various offerings to the Lord (Numbers 29:1 – 6). All the Old Testament feasts in the Bible point to Christ Jesus. Since Jesus is the Word made flesh (John 1:14), He is not just in the New Testament but seen throughout the whole Bible. We can celebrate because we are grafted in (Romans 11:11-36).
The Feast of Trumpets and the shofar blowing represents making Jesus King and announcing His return (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 11:15). It calls us to awaken, to the battle, and signals victory. Jesus is preparing, equipping, and refining us. Let us hear what the Spirit is saying!
The Bible is a love letter from God to us. Before the foundation of the world, God had a plan to bring us back into a relationship with Him (Revelation 13:8). The Old Testament reveals a falling away from God the Father, and the New Testament shows us the solution in Jesus Christ, His Son. We need to fix our eyes on Jesus and what He has done. When we look to the cross, we see God’s love and everything He did to bring us into a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ.
Last week we saw that God’s love is victorious because He has redeemed us through His Son Jesus Christ, blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, and given us everything we need for life and godliness (Ephesians 1:3, 7; 2 Peter 1:3). God has withheld nothing from us, but we need a revelation of what God wants to do in the earth each new season we encounter. We need to agree with God and heaven to partner with Him to bring it to pass on the earth.
God speaks prophetically from the calendar. We are to be in sync with God’s times and seasons (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8; Genesis 8:22; 1 Chronicles 12:32). We can see from the Bible that numbers are important to Him. Numbers don’t define or dictate, and there isn’t any power in numbers, but they glorify God. They are prophetic or predictive markers, have layers of revelations, and have both a redeeming and non-redeeming version. They show us where we are to look and see Jesus. Prophecy is not to scare us but to prepare us.
The Hebrew alphabet has 22 letters. Any Hebrew letter has three different values; 1) a phonic sound, 2) a numerical value, and 3) a prophetic picture or sign. Let’s look at what 5782 means.
5 = Heh (Hei); look or be watchful (in Scripture, it refers to God’s grace); picture – eye
7 = Zayin; crown; (in Scripture the number seven relates to completion or perfection; manifest presence); picture – plow (takes action in the harvest; don’t look back – Luke 9:62)
8 = Chet; life (in Scripture refers to new beginnings); picture – fence or wall; (separate; different (Holy))
2 = Beht; symbolizes “in the beginning” and many basic dualities; two joined together, sons/daughters, to build, and division; picture – house, tent
We are currently in the decade of the ’80s, or in Hebrew Pey, which is symbolic of mouth and breath (speech, word, vocalization). We must align our words with God’s mouth, open our mouths, speak out, and proclaim the truth, but there has been resistance (covering our mouths with masks, sheltering in place, social distancing, etc.). Yet, the world must hear our voice.
Patricia King believes that the prophetic will be very important this year as more prophetic words need to proclaim the truth. People need to learn to hear the voice of the Lord and declare it. Prophets are the mouthpiece of God and must speak life and challenge false voices speaking to this generation. The Lord is calling the generations to work together. She sees two types of prophets emerging with a new anointing and favor of the Lord. 1) Ezekiel’s or seers who do creative miracles and speak life (Ezekiel 37) and 2) Elijah’s where the spirit of Elijah will restore the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers (Malachi 4:5-6).
Beht (2) refers to a tent, house, or place where you live or where God lives. God is the strength of the house, and He is doing something with the house. The house or church belongs to Jesus, which is His body. I believe the Lord wants to cleanse, transform, revive, restore and rearrange His house, preparing and equipping us for new kingdom assignments and dimensions for the harvest of souls.
Therefore, we must repent, return to the Lord and keep our eyes focused on Him. Intimacy with Him is vital, and we must get fresh manna daily (Psalm 91; Deuteronomy 8:3; Matthew 4:4). We must follow the Spirit and live by a different spirit than the world does. The church must be united and aligned with the Lord. He is bringing alignments for the strategy to accomplish assignments in the seven mountains of influence in our society.
The church is not just a building where we meet, but the bride of Christ (Ephesians 5:25-27; Revelation 19:7-9). God is changing our lives and the church into His image, bringing us into greater transformation (2 Corinthians 3:18). He is perfecting His church for the end times to be a glorious bride!
This age belongs to us, the church, but the spirit of the antichrist has a big mouth and is trying to change the times and seasons to a time that does not belong to him yet (2 Thessalonians 2). He tries to get us out of sync with God. God handpicked us to be in this generation (Esther 4:14). We are not to be afraid but courageous. We must go out full of faith and speak boldly, walking in the fear of the LORD. God is preparing the harvest and pouring out His Spirit for hearts to receive Him (Joel 2:28).
God gives us His grace for every time and season because the cross of Jesus Christ guarantees victory no matter the time or season. Jesus has already defeated the enemy (Colossians 2:14-15). God has told us in His Word what to expect and what will happen in these last days (2 Timothy 3:1 – 17; Matthew 24:14, 42-44). In Revelation chapters 2 and 3, Jesus encourages His church and addresses their issues. Prophet Chuck Pierce sees seven things that Jesus says we must do to address any issues to overcome and be victorious.
- We must come back to His 1st love, then express it.
- Don’t fear or let suffering cause our faithfulness to wane
- We need to know where Satan is ruling and release the presence of God. We need to watch for stumbling blocks and not take offense because it will cause us to stumble.
- Don’t allow Jezebel to advance or rule. We must know the way Satan is working.
- We must strengthen and build or finish, which will lead us to the next season.
- We will get keys to open doors and new opportunities.
- We must be hot and filled with passion.
Well, there is another house that the Lord wants to see restored. Your house! Therefore, we must not give up believing for our family’s salvation, healing, and deliverance. Breakthrough is coming! Ana Werner heard the Lord say this is the year to invest in our children and our ministries to focus on them.
And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them, remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.” Nehemiah 4:14
The LORD shall go forth like a mighty man; He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war. He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud; He shall prevail against His enemies. Isaiah 43:13
Thus says the LORD: “Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears; for your work shall be rewarded, says the LORD, and they shall come back from the land of the enemy. There is hope in your future, says the LORD, that your children shall come back to their own border.” Jeremiah 31:16 – 17
5782 is all about speaking life, creating with our words, decreeing, and declaring things into existence (Job 22:28). The church, the body of Christ, is being called to stand up for and proclaim the truth and become a house of habitation. We need to choose eternal truth over temporal circumstances. We must choose to believe His truth in these challenging times and walk in His love towards those who don’t walk in the truth. We need to get in alignment with God’s heart and use spiritual weapons, not carnal. We must not serve the flesh but walk in the Spirit.
We must come into the presence of the Lord daily with a fresh consecration to Him, living for Christ and following the leading of the Spirit. A new anointing is falling on the church. Ask the Lord to fill you with His Spirit and receive a new outpouring of His power and glory. Ask Him to heal your heart and let nothing prevent what He wants to do in this season.
This year is also a Shemitah year. Every 7th year is a Sabbath rest (Leviticus 25:4). It is a season of grace where we can receive healing and wholeness physically, emotionally and in relationships, etc. So the people of God will get new living water and enter into His rest.
Robert Hotchkin sees this year as a season marked by graduations, new beginnings, and paths clearly defined. We must agree with the eternal realm by faith to see it in the temporal realm. Jesus gave us the keys to loose these things into the earth (Isaiah 22:22; Matthew 16:18-19). God gives us grace for this season to bring it to pass.
Seer prophet Ana Werner received a prophetic vision from the Lord to encourage and prepare us. 1) Stand firm (Ephesians 6:13) and declare His promises over your life and circumstances. Feed on the Word of God, which is our weapon. Our faith will be tested, but don’t quit or back down; Keep believing! Persevere in faith. 2) Look up! We need to see and gain a heavenly perspective that will allow us to pray and win the battle. It is the battle before the breakthrough! 3) Contend for peace. Listen to His voice. We must stand for righteousness and not compromise. Finally, she saw Jesus, who declared “Access Granted.” There will be favor on those who stand. They will get a deeper revelation of Him. We must tend our garden and guard our intimate time with Him.
The world needs to see Jesus in you this year. Set the atmosphere in your home, work, and relationships by the prayers and decrees you speak. These are the days of Elijah where the Word of the Lord must be declared. We are preparing the way for the Lord Jesus to return. Be set apart as a Holy habitation unto Him! Bring an offering to Him and tell Him how much you love Him and thank Him for His goodness.
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. Revelation 22:17
