What does the Lord have for us in 2021? Each year that we live has a purpose for us, our families, cities, and nations. It is important to seek God for the prophetic plan for our lives for the coming year instead of just setting goals or resolutions (which are of the flesh) for the new year. A prophetic plan is a unique assignment for this season or a calling or redirection for our lives. We must align with His plans for us to walk in our destiny during this season and year. Spend some time with Him and listen to what He tells you, then write it down (Habakkuk 2:1 – 2). We must pray and press into it and decree it over our lives (Job 22:28; Proverbs 18:21).
We must ask the Holy Spirit for prophetic wisdom to process and walk out that prophetic Word and plan in our lives. Wisdom from the Lord gives us the ability to apply what He has told us, the strategy to do our part and follow Him.
We are not to despise the prophetic (1 Thessalonians 5:20). It helps us to discern the times and seasons. When we discern what God is saying in any particular season, we can align ourselves with that Word, which will bring Blessing to us. One of the prophetic words given for 2020 declared:
“Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.” 2 Chronicles 20:20b
Those walking close to God came through the challenges of 2020 with victory and will continue to go through in 2021. The following verse is one that the Lord gave me for December 2020 and into 2021. I believe this Word is not just for me but for any believer who receives it for their life as well!
“Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.” Luke 1:45
We follow our King Jesus. His kingdom is not of this world (John 18:36). We are Christ’s ambassadors and spread the Gospel wherever we are (2 Corinthians 5:18-21). The kingdom of God is always increasing, advancing, enlarging, winning, and has peace (Isaiah 9:7; Luke 17:20-21; Micah 2:12-13; Matthew 11:11-15; 16:18-19; 28:18-20; Romans 14:17). It is not dependent on who rules over us because God has positioned them (Daniel 2:21), but we are to pray for those in authority over us so that we might live in peace (Romans 13:1-7; 1 Timothy 2:2; 1 Peter 2:17).
We are to Bless our leaders and pray for them to walk in God’s wisdom, righteousness, mercy, and justice (Proverbs 28:2-26 ERV; Psalms 2:10-11; Proverbs 2:1-8; 11:14; 21:1; Job 12:23-25). We are to pray for the city we live in (Jeremiah 29:7; 1 Chronicles 4:10). We are to pray that His kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).
We are going from grace to grace, faith to faith, strength to strength, and glory to glory (John 1:16; Romans 1:17; Psalm 84:7; 2 Corinthians 3:18). Therefore, it is a good idea to reflect on this past year, 2020, to see what the Lord has done in our lives and where we have grown in Him. I pray that you have discovered and experienced your gifts and callings and are walking in them (Romans 12:4 – 8)! Expect revelation from God in the area of your gift, call, and commission. Each of us has unique gifting, anointing, and commission. We minister out of this giftedness (1 Chronicles 28:11-12, 19; Exodus 31:1-6).
But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. Proverbs 4:18
I am called for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11 – 12). I would love to hear testimonies about what you learned in this past year and how it has made a difference in your life and your sphere of influence. Please feel free to share your testimonies in the comments section.
I pray that you are following and obeying the teaching you have heard so that you will not go astray from the truth of the Word (2 Timothy 3:14; Acts 17:10-11). I can identify with John, who wrote:
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. 3 John 1:2-4
The Lord has instructed me to take the month of January off from writing my weekly blog and Wednesday’s Word video broadcast. I will be working on finishing my new book about Christ our Healer, the second volume in the Living the Abundant Life Series. If you didn’t get a chance to read the first volume, “Are You Living the Abundant Life? Keys to Living the Abundant Life Jesus Came to Give Us,” you can purchase the Kindle version at http://amazon.com/author/alexiscarucci
Thank You, Lord, for protecting, providing, guiding, and Blessing us in 2020! My prayer is that you would leave 2020 stronger in Christ than when the year began and that you walk in your divine destiny in 2021. What are three prayer requests that you are asking the Lord for in 2021?
Starting in February 2021, our focus will be to “Encounter God Today!”
And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Exodus 33:14
Abundant Blessings!
